Chelsea recently wrote (ok, like yesterday) a post about how sometimes we get to have a husband vacation. It's not a bad thing to spend a day or two apart from your spouse. Once a long time ago I was a Navy wife and I spent way too much time away from my spouse. Needless to say once he was home the marriage dissolved. Fast forward 25 years and I am a different person and wife to my 2nd husband and I really don't want to spend that much time apart. But for a one night I think I will be ok.
My big plan for the time apart, getting a jump on purging out some clutter. Like most humans with first world problems, we have acquired more things then we need. It happens. We got married in June and received most of the items on our registry which means we are full. The closets are full. The cabinet is full. Time for a purge.
The other big plan is to workout. I have been nursing a pretty significant muscle pull for a about a month which has limited my ability to get activity in to my schedule. Time to restart that part of it. I was able to get in yoga on Monday and a 1.5 mile walk on Tuesday.
It is not like I could not do these things while he was here. In fact I know he would help me with both but there is just something about pushing yourself to do something. One night is long enough. I will be counting the minutes until he gets home. At least the house will be a little cleaner when he walks back through the door.
